Why it matters now

The rules are tightening, and the dates keep moving.

Today, commercial property must reach at least an E to be let. The minimum is set to rise to C, and later B.

To let a commercial property in England and Wales, it currently needs an EPC rating of at least E. The government intends to raise that minimum to C, and later to B, though the timetable has shifted more than once.

Improvements to commercial buildings take time, so acting early is sensible. An up-to-date EPC shows exactly where your property stands, and we keep track of the changing rules so you always know what, if anything, you need to do.
